28 stycznia 2011 r. odby si coroczny wyjazd do kopalni miedzi w Rudnej, oddziau KGHM Polska Mied. Wszyscy uczestnicy wyjazdu wstawili si na Placu Maksa Borna o godzinie czwartej nad ranem. Wypad odby si pod okiem mgra Artura Jakubiaka.

Po przybyciu na miejsce, przejciu przez bramki detekcji metalu, odbylimy obowizkowe szkolenie BHP. Nastpnie zostalimy zaopatrzeni w niezbdny ekwipunek kadego górnika. Czekajc na nasz kolej zjazdu zostalimy poczstowani kubkiem gorcego mleka, bd chodnej malanki. W kocu nadszed najbardziej wyczekiwany moment – zjazd. Winda ruszya i po chwili znalelimy si na poziomie 1000 m p.p.t. Czekajc na samochody, geolodzy, którzy nas oprowadzali po kopalni, zapoznali nas z jej planem i histori.

Obszar górniczy kopalni Rudna znajduje si w centralnej czci zó rud miedzi monokliny przedsudeckiej. Zoe obejmuje bilansowo trzy typy litologiczne ska: piaskowce czerwonego spgowca, upki dolnocechsztyskie i dolomity. Rudna jest jedn z trzech kopal miedzi w Polsce. Obecnie jest najgbsz kopalni KGHM oraz najwiksz podziemn i jedn z najwikszych kopal rud miedzi na wiecie. Eksploatacja jest prowadzona systemem komorowo - filarowym. Geolodzy przybliyli nam take problem z uciekajcym metanem, który spowodowa niedawno miertelny wypadek w kopalni.

Po takiej dawce solidnej wiedzy ruszylimy do celu. Na miejscu motki i przecinaki poszy w ruch. Po cikim boju, usatysfakcjonowani plecaki wypenilimy po brzegi adnymi okazami chalkopirytu z kowelinem, dolomitu, anhydrytu i soli kamiennej. Po zaadowaniu si na pojazdy udalimy si na "krat" - w gwarze górniczej miejsce skadowania urobku, gdzie moglimy zapozna si z systemem skadowania wydobytego materiau skalnego oraz zobaczy maszyny górnicze suce do ich urabiania.

Chwil póniej znalelimy si w szybie, gdzie nasza wyprawa powoli dobiegaa koca i nadszed czas powrotu do Wrocawia.

January 28, 2011 took place the annual trip to the copper mine in Rudna, a division of KGHM Polish Copper. All participants of the trip they put on the Square, Max Born and at four o'clock in the morning. Trip took place under the guidance of master Arthur Jakubiak. Upon arrival, pass through metal detection gates we had a mandatory safety training. We were then provided with the necessary equipment for each miner. While waiting for our turn, we were treat cup of hot milk or cold buttermilk. Finally came the most awaited moment - the downhill. Elevator started and here we find ourselves at the level of 1000 m below the surface. Waiting for the cars, geologists who toured us around the mine acquainted us with its plan, and history.

Rudna mine mining area is located in the central part of the ore deposits Sudetic. The deposit comprises three types of balance sheets of rock lithology: rotliegend sandstones, shales and dolomites of Lower Zechstein. Rudna is one of three copper mines in Poland. Today is the deepest mine KGHM, and the largest underground and one of the largest copper mines in the world. The operation is carried out pillar-chamber system . Geologists have approached us to have a problem with escaping methane, which caused the recent fatal accident in the mine.

After such a strong dose of knowledge went into effect. On the spot hammers and chisels went into motion. After a hard battle, satisfied with backpacks filled the brim with nice specimens of coveline with chalcopyrite, dolomite, anhydrite and rock salt. After loading the vehicles went on a "grid" - in a bustling mining ore storage location where we could see the system of dumping of dredged material, rock and see the mining equipment used for the cutting.

Moments later we were in the shaft where our journey is slowly coming to an end and it was time to return.
